ST220 3.0 V6 Engine Bay Detail

Yep, first proper engine bay detail of my dads 220 today that wasent a quick wash with megs NXT shampoo and PW it off.
-Used APC (8:1) with a foaming head to loosen dirt
-Use a non diluted Spray of APC to finish off
-Plastics dressed in some cheapo halfrauds stuff
-Metal polished with Meg's NXT Gen Metal Polysh
-Main Engine Cover waxed with megs NXT Gen Tech Wax

Before...

So I removed all of the plastic panels to reveal the Lump...
Then I Covered it in foam from the APC using the foaming head sprayer...

Then Wiped the foam off with cheapo microfibres and a spray bottle with non diluted APC in it...

I then got the plastic panels...

And took them down my drive...
Before...

After being cleaned with apc...

I then waxed the silver bits in...

Wax applied to cover (you can only see it a bit as it was applied very thin!)

I then dressed the trim...

And dressed the trim in the engine bay and used Megs NXT Metal Polysh on the metal...

Then put all the covers back on ...

This was the hardest engine i've ever detail to be honest and hope I never have to do another V6

bailes, I'd recommend getting covers for the suspension tops. I just bought some and they make cleaning a lot easier. Cost around 5 for a pair from local Ford dealer.

Nicely done. A good engine bay finishes off a car just right.
