Rupe DA Polishing Area??

Hi,
I hope we are all well
I'll be using my Mini Bigfoot today. It has a 100mm pad.
Am I correct in saying that my polishing area should be between 6-8 times the size of the pad hence 600-800mm x 600-800mm?
Cheers and thank you!

I have noted 6 times the pad size being recommended in a recent Rupes video.

It will completely depend on what you are polishing, what you want to achieve, what products you have. It really isn't as simple as x amount of the pads surface area

Agreed

One size does not fit all, far to many variables.

You ideally want the area to be 6-8 times the size / area of the pad you are using, but I regularly see detailers going over this, I guess it depends on varying factors, conditions, and experience.
